Thursday, October 30, 2008 Rush hour in Chicago and Lexington

We got to Chicago just in time for the morning rush hour. Bad planning! Between slow traffic and construction detours we lost almost two hours. We could have slept in.

Today we got a decent lunch at some steak house along the way. Good… they had Guinness… Bad… they would not cook a hamburger medium rare. They would cook a buffalo (Bison) burger medium rare. Damn lawyers!

We got to Lexington Kentucky a little after 5:00 PM, just in time for the evening rush hour. It was nowhere near as bad as Chicago.

We are tired and will be glad to get back to our camp tomorrow. They have a restaurant – bar here called Mandolins, we are tempted to check it out, but it will probably be room service tonight.
