Friday, April 24, 2009 Laundry, Scouting and “Seasonal” Campsites

The Maple Festival starts today but we have decided to hang out and do laundry. There’s no water here at Homestead Campground, so I’m going to find a Laundromat nearby. It turns out the closest laundry is in St. Albans just a couple of blocks from the park where the center of the Maple Festival is located. So it’s a laundry and scouting mission.

After the mission we do a walk around at the Homestead Campground. It’s a lot different than many campgrounds we have been in before. There are many “seasonal” campsites. These people keep their RV permanently at their site. Some go to another campground once or twice during the season, but most look like they are permanently located at their site.
