Thursday, May 28, 2009 The Rain and Propane is Mainly on the Wane

It’s been raining for the last few days. We need to fill propane today. Deb is working the early shift at the office today so I get to do the propane fill by myself. It’s a sloppy job in the mud unhooking the rig to drive to the propane fill down by the office. After the fill up I get the rig back to our camp and parked by my self. It’s a lot easer parking and leveling with two people.

We are beginning to use less propane. The weather is warming up a bit. The average high temperature here for May has been 64º and the average low 43º.  It has been 26 days since the last fill-up. We where averaging only 10 to 12 days over the winter between fills. The propane budget should improve over the next few months. Higher temperatures and a drop in price will help. We get our propane at cost here. The last fill cost about $2.00 a gallon we have been paying just under $3.50.
